The monthly Second Saturdays Reading Series, organized by the NYC-based literary nonprofit Singapore Unbound, brings Singaporean and American authors and audiences together for readings and discussions. In its eighth season, the series has featured authors such as Susan Choi, Vijay Seshadri, Jericho Brown, Gregory Pardlo, Jenny Xie, Min Jin Lee, Monique Truong, and Madeleine Thien, among others. The gatherings are being held online on Zoom during the pandemic but we look forward to returning in December 2021 to in-person gatherings in private homes in NYC. In-person gatherings begin with a potluck, followed by a short open mic, and then the featured author(s) and Q&A with the audience.
